Bootleg recordings are made using microphones or video cameras
placed (clandestinely or otherwise) in the audience. They vary in sound
quality, but can give you a good sense of actually being at the show.
Bootlegs have always been made with Jill's permission, and she has in fact
encouraged us to put up this site. |

Live/Sound Board recordings are similar to
bootlegs, but they have
been recorded by connecting directly to the sound board at a show
(with both Jill's and the Sound Person's permission). They sound a little
closer to live recordings one might find on a live album, in that the audio
quality is usually quite good, but they can miss some of the quality of the
live experience, since the audience is not miked, and therefore you don't
get to hear a lot of their applause, laughter, etc. |

Off Air recordings are taken from radio and TV shows where Jill has
appeared. Sometimes these are performances, sometimes they are interviews,
and sometimes they are a combination of things. Sometimes they are something
else entirely. The quality of these vary somewhat, depending on the quality
of the reception available to the person who did the recording, plus the
quality of their recording equipment. While Jill has never objected to these
recordings, technically some of these are copyrighted broadcasts and are
included here without the express permission of the copyright holders. If
anyone representing the producers or owners of these shows contacts us
requesting that we remove any such content, we will of course comply. |
